Having been an orphan it wasn't until he met his wife that he really started to even feel the concept of a family outside of the workplace through the military and then a police officer.

Hobbies & Interests Boating is Kevin's biggest hobby and during his time off he loves to spend time out on his boat he also enjoys the occasional camping trip.

Personal History

Personal History Kevin Roe was born in Nyack Hospital in Nyack, New York to a teenage mother whose name he doesn't know. With the birth and adoption records sealed Kevin has never easily been able to find out who his parents were nor has he really cared to reach out. His childhood was awash with moving from group home to group home as well as foster home to foster home. He had been abused at one of his foster homes around age eight and his ability to trust people was lost. During his times in group and foster homes, he moved between various boroughs of New York City, Rockland County, Orange County, and he even spent a small amount of time in Norwalk, Connecticut.

It wasn't until his junior year of high school that he was placed in the care of Katherine Roland-Wall who he considered his only family member and referred to her as Nana. During his time with Nana, he was introduced into a career, a love for helping people, and the understanding that people could be trusted. He became best friends with the girl who lived next door, Alyssa Blanchard, and they remained best friends throughout their adulthood. Kevin never really had any romantic relationships growing up he was still not comfortable enough in relationships for that to happen. He had some friends that he hung out with but Alyssa was the only friend he ever confided in.

During the summer between his junior and senior year of High School, he joined the US Coast Guard with approval of his foster parent and the Department of Social Services. He went off to his basic training during this time and graduated with high honors the structure and friends he made truly made him feel like he belonged and had a family for the first time. He would drill on weekends with Station New York in Staten Island driving himself after Nana taught him how. He was proud to follow in the footsteps of Nana's late husband she often told him stories that made him feel as if he really knew him despite never having the honor of actually meeting him.

After graduating from High School Alyssa, Kevin, and a few others spent a month traveling around the country. They had a wonderful time and after returning home for a week to spend with Nana and say his goodbyes he reported to Law Enforcement Specialist "A"-School. Nana and Alyssa were both there for Graduation as well as Alyssa's new girlfriend who she later married. He remained at the Training Center and took EMT "C"-School while waiting to report to his first actual unit. He did well in class and became nationally registered as an Emergency Medical Technician and reported to his very first unit Patrol Forces Southwest Asia.

Kevin spent two years aboard PATFORSWA serving as a member of an Advanced Interdiction Team for his first year and the second year with a Maritime Engagement Team. He served with distinction and in a few cases, he even was utilized for his medical training during operations.

When returning from the Middle East he was assigned to Marine Safety & Security Team (MSST) New York. During his time aboard the MSST, he was able to pursue an Associates Degree in Applied Science and gaining both State and National Certification as a Paramedic. He was also able to spend time with Nana once and a while as well as Alyssa who was attending college in Manhattan at NYU.

Unfortunately, while he was assigned to the MSST Nana passed away leaving him devastated. Alyssa gave up her dorm and lived with him in an apartment in Manhattan. The two lived together until she graduated from college and went off to Atlanta to a new job opportunity. Kevin spent three years total with the MSST before going to his next assignment at MSST Miami. He decided after serving at MSST Miami when it was time to re-enlist to transition into the reserves.

Needing a place to go and having only Alyssa and her now wife living in Atlanta before he officially detached he took some leave and went to Georgia. He applied for multiple jobs in the area including Atlanta Police, Brunswick Police, Glynn County Police, and even an instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. The first to answer and to hire him was the Brunswick Police Department bringing him in on accelerated training due to his specialty as a Law Enforcement Specialist in the Coast Guard.

After completing his probationary year with the Brunswick Police Department he assisted in the creation of the Police Department's Tactical Team known as the Critical Response & Intelligence Team or CRIT. Upon launching the department's CRIT he also worked with the Chief of Police and Special Operations Bureau Commander to get the department the ability to staff it's own Tactical Paramedics and eventually to expand into providing the paramedic response for the city as it's primary agency working in conjunction with the County Fire Department's EMS.

After the first successful operation of the CRIT, he was promoted by Chief Bahe to the rank of Corporal.

Meanwhile, in his personal life at the urging of Alyssa, he began to date but not seriously. He did eventually begin to actually have a relationship with a girl he'd met at his favorite deli he frequented for breakfast. The two only lasted about six months with the desired speed of the relationship not mutual. Kevin was intimidated by the thought of getting to close to someone and having to make a commitment.

It wasn't until a few years back when he met his now wife Sam. She worked at the same deli as his previous girlfriend who he was now good friends with. He still went to the Deli almost every day when he was on duty and that is where he met Sam. Something about her drew him in she was younger though and he got some flack for dating someone so young from friends and her family didn't like it but they prevailed. About a year after they started to date she moved into his place and then they got engaged a year after that. After having bee together about four and a half years they got married and are talking about starting off a family together.

Kevin is also a recent graduate of American Military University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Homeland Security and a minor in Intelligence Studies.

Currently, he is assigned as the Bravo Company CRIT Team Leader and tactical paramedic he also frequently acts as a Supervisor as the recent retirement of their patrol supervisor and his terminal leave occurred. He also continues as part of the US Coast Guard Reserves drilling at Station Mayport, Florida.
