Personality & Traits

General Overview Ana Lacasa-Vasquez is a relatively calm and laid back person who rarely admits that she was an officer for the United States Navy. This is not because she’s embarrassed about her service, quite the opposite, she is just embarrassed when someone thanks her for her service. Her cheeks turn a slight shade of pink whenever her father calls her, “His daughter a former Naval Officer”. At the moment she has no ambitions, but is choosing to go with the flow, though perhaps a family one day would be nice. Her mother after all asks her all the time when she’s finally going to find a man and turn her parents into grandparents.

Personal History

Personal History Ana Lacasa-Vasquez was born in 1990 in Brunswick, Georgia to Olivia Vasquez and Lucian Lacasa and, is the oldest of three children. She has two younger sisters, Emma and Victoria, who are two and four years younger than herself. Growing up life for Ana was really quite simple as her father is a Pediatrician for Wolfson Children’s.

Ana and her sisters attended Heritage Christian Academy and it was there that she learned how easily it was for her to pick up languages. At home her family spoke both Spanish and English whereas in school she learned German. When Ana was seventeen years old she began the process of joining the United States Naval Academy and was officially accepted by the time she graduated from High School.

From 2008 until 2012 she attended the Naval Academy for linguistics and officially became an officer by 2012 when she graduated. It was there that she learned Arabic and how to discern other languages based on simple words. Ana was assigned to the USS Harry S. Truman in Norfolk, Virginia as an Ensign. After two years of service in 2014 she was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade.

She remained on board the Truman for another three years and completed her five years of sea duty before officially completing her contract. Ana got out of the military as a decorated officer in 2017 before returning home. It was then that Ana had grown restless in the linguistics field and needed a change in her life. She lived with her parents for a full year while debating on what she wanted to get her Masters in before finally settling on becoming a Police Officer.

It was a drastic change, but she went through the Police Academy from the middle of 2018 until the end of 2018 before graduating. Ana was then assigned as a Patrol Officer to the Brunswick Police Department. She later used her benefits as a Veteran of the armed forces to purchase her first house and settle down in the city where she grew up.
